Have you ever stopped to think about the different types of strangers that you encounter in your day-to-day life? From acquaintances to friendly strangers, there’s a wide range of people that we can come across in our daily lives.
As I’ve gotten older, my knowledge and understanding of the world around me have grown, and so has my ability to interact with strangers.
In this blog, I’ll discuss the different types of strangers you’ll meet in life and how to handle each situation.
The Acquaintance
Acquaintances are usually people you’ve met in passing, or people you know by name but don’t really know much about. They’re the people you see in the grocery store, or at the gym, but don’t really talk to. They’re the people you’ve met a few times and vaguely remember names.
Acquaintances can be both a blessing and a curse – they’re familiar but not too familiar, so you can feel comfortable around them but you don’t have to worry about getting too close.
The Friendly Stranger
Friendly strangers are people you meet who you instantly connect with. They could be strangers you meet in a cafe or people you meet at a party.
They’re the people who you feel like you’ve known forever, even though you’ve just met. These strangers make you feel comfortable and accepted.
They can talk for hours, and by the end of the conversation, you feel like you’ve known each other for years.
The Unfriendly Stranger
Unfriendly strangers are people you meet who make you feel uncomfortable. They could be people who you overhear making rude comments or people who make you feel like you’re not welcome.
They’re the people who you want to avoid, and who you feel you should stay away from. They’re the people who make you feel like you’re not good enough, or who make you feel like you don’t belong.
The Mysterious Stranger
The mysterious stranger is the stranger who you meet and can’t quite figure out. These strangers who you’re not sure what to make of, and who you can’t quite figure out.
They’re mysterious, yet intriguing, and who you want to get to know more about, but who you can’t quite figure out.
The Stranger Looking for Directions
The first type of stranger you’ll meet is the one who’s looking for directions. This is the most common type of stranger that you’ll come across.
They may be lost and looking for a certain location or just trying to find their way. In this case, it’s best to be polite and provide directions if you can.
The Stranger Who is Interested in You
The second type of stranger is the one who is interested in you. This is the stranger who strikes up a conversation with you, asks you questions, or even tries to flirt with you.
It’s best to be polite and friendly, but be sure to keep your distance and don’t give out too much personal information.
The Stranger Who is Disturbing You
The third type of stranger is the one who is disturbing you. This stranger may be a beggar, a panhandler, or someone trying to bother you.
It’s best to just ignore this person and walk away.
The Stranger Who is Dangerous
The fourth type of stranger is the one who is dangerous. This is the stranger who could be a potential criminal or someone who may be a threat to your safety.
It’s best to avoid this person, but if you must interact with them, be sure to stay alert and be prepared to call for help if necessary.
No matter what type of stranger you come across, it’s important to remember to stay safe. Be aware of your surroundings.
